Welcome to Northwest Rescue. Northwest Rescue is a non profit volunteer based 501 (c) 3 cat rescue / adoption organization. We are dedicated to helping cats through rescue, adoption, and foster homes. Finding loving and caring permanent families for unwanted, abandoned, abused, and homeless cats and kittens is one of our top priorities. Northwest Rescue helps feral and people loving cats and kittens regardless of handicap or illness find their new family. We are a true no kill rescue organization, we believe there is a right home for every cat and kitten that comes through our doors.

Since opening our doors in 1998, we have rescued over 5000 cats. We arrange permenant loving homes through our adoptions centers in Austin and Round Rock. We work with local veterinarians to ensure that our cats and kittens have had their medical needs taken care of. All cats and kittens are tested for feline leukemia and feline aids, and are spay/neuterd, vacinated, dewormed and treated for fleas.
Blood chemestry and teeth cleaning is given on an as needed basis for all the felines in our adoption centers. Our adpotion fees and donations help ensure that the cats and kittens recieve all their medical treatments as needed.
In 2008 we hope to start microchipping our cats and kittens. Microchipping is a way to track your lost pet. Microchipping is a safe procedure and is as easy as a vaccination. For more information on microchipping follow the link

Northwest Rescue volunteers provide the backbone for our organization. Our volunteers help with daily activities including transportation to and from the veternarians, foster care and staffing our adoption facilities. Foster homes and volunteers are always welcome.
